About Northern Plains Financial
Northern Plains Financial was founded October 2014 as a partnership between Mike Elsberry and Lowell Schweigert supported by Jerrilyn Walstad. Mike, Lowell and Jerrilyn worked together at Merrill Lynch and Morgan Stanley prior to forming Northern Plains Financial (NPF) as a client focused, independent financial firm. Lowell tragically passed away 12/29/2019. NPF has worked to honor Lowell's legacy through continued customer excellence as modeled throughout his career. The firm has since moved to its current location on 4th Street in Grand Forks and Amy Nygaard and Eric Carlson have joined the team.
