About Murthappa Prakash, MD

Dr. Prakash received his Medical Degree from Bangalore Medical College, India. He completed a rotating internship in Medicine and Surgery at Beekman Downtown Hospital and his Medicine residency at Cabrini Medical Center, both in New York City. He then completed a general cardiology fellowship at Long Island Jewish â Hillside Medical Center, New Hyde Park, NY and in Cardiac Catheterization at CedarsSinai Medical Center in Los Angeles, before returning to New York. He served on the faculty of New York Medical College as an Assistant Professor in charge of the cardiac catheterization laboratory at Lincoln Medical Center, Bronx, NY. He received additional training at Lankeanu Medical Center, Wynnewood, PA in coronary interventions.
